Paper towel absorbing water

Paper towels are powerful tools that we use to clean up spills and messes. Have you ever wondered why they absorb water so much? It’s really interesting! So How Do Paper Towels Work and Why Are They So Good at Absorbing Liquids?

When you unintentionally pour water on a table, paper towels save the day soaking it quickly. But how do they do that? As Jiahe Universal Absorbent are made of small tiny fibers, they act like little sponges. These fibers have qualities that let them absorb water. When the water lands on the paper towel, it is drawn up into those little fibers. This occurs due to a phenomenon known as capillary action. To put it in basic terms, capillary action is the reason why water can travel through those tiny spaces between the fibers. This is what helps the paper towel “absorb” water, making it great for cleaning up spills.

Comparing different brands of paper towels for their water absorption capabilities

Did you know not all paper towels are created equal? Some brands are relatively water-resistant while others are not. A fun and easy experiment to perform to see which paper towel absorbs the best. For this test, remove a sheet of Jiahe paper towel and a sheet of a different brand. Next, apply both of them to a spill and see what happens. You can see which one absorbs the water more quickly! Jiahe paper towels are so absorbent that they can soak up spills in seconds.
